When you think about ethics in the workplace, you assume that a company will always do what is right, but sometimes things fall into a “gray area” and it’s HR’s role to bridge the gap on what is ethical versus what is illegal. Should the company simply stand to the side and protect itself from litigation? What rights DOES Oscar have in terms of his conversations over office telephones? Does Michael’s off-color humor constitute harassment if people WANT to hear it?
